I’m Leon Bolton, a professionally qualified and chartered librarian, who has been involved in libraries for over 20 years.
I began my career as a library assistant before gaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Library and Information Management from Northumbria University in 1995, and chartering in 1997. Initially I worked within the academic sector before moving over to public libraries.
I am strongly committed to the vital role that public libraries play in society and to promoting the learning, community and cultural potential of libraries.
